Visiting Antique Vendors Feel the Heat

Some antique vendors from California who were selling their wares in Round Top at one of the fall shows had some trouble getting back to their hotel in Giddings Tuesday. On the drive to the hotel at the end of their day, about 6 p.m. they smelled gas as they neared Carmine and their truck caught on fire. Fayette County Deputy Darrell Maze and Detective Garrett Durrenberger, along with the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department all responded. Above, members of the Carmine Fire Department put out the fire.
