Underground Railroad Zoom Lecture Jan. 12

The Briscoe Center for American History at Winedale and the Round Top Family Library FYI invite you to join a virtual Zoom lecture Tuesday, Jan. 12 at noon: “The Underground Railroad Through Texas and Into Mexico” presented by Roseann Bacha-Garza of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She will discuss the pathways of the Underground Railroad and where they led to. Round Top Family Library

The Round Top Family Library’s 17th Annual Chili Cook-Off scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16 has been postponed out of precaution for the virus. For more information, visit their website at ilovetoread.org.

2021 Winter Antique Show

The 2021 Winter Antique Show will take place Thursday, Jan. 21 - Sunday, Jan. 24. Although the show is steadily gaining popularity, less visitors will allow shoppers to have a more relaxed shopping experience. For more information, please visit exploreroundtop.com.

Thomas Burritt at Festival Hill

On Saturday, January 30, Thomas Burritt will perform works for solo marimba at Festival Hill. The program will begin at 3 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. with no intermission. Adult tickets are $25; student tickets are $10. All tickets must be purchased in advance online. Due to COVID-related restrictions, a limited number of tickets is available. Round Top Town Council

The Town of Round Top Town Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall Courthouse, 100 Main Street. If you have any questions, email TownClerk@rttx.us. The Round Top Chamber of Commerce meets the second Thursday of each month. Round Top Rifle Association’s Monday Night Social takes place on the first through fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Annual Garage Sale

Mark your calendar. The Round Top Area Historical Society is hosting their annual garage sale at 399 E. Mill Street behind the Round Top Post Office on Feb. 13, 14, 20, and 21. COVID precautions will be taken to ensure that everyone has a safe experience. Furniture, household items, etc. will be for sale. Until then contact Rose Diers at (713) 376-9594 to contribute your donations for this event. Sorry, clothes or obsolete electronics are not accepted.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion is celebrated using individual, prepackaged units.
