Truck Stolen Here Found in Goliad

A DPS Trooper in Goliad County recovered a pickup that was stolen from La Grange two weeks ago.

According to La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, Trooper Oscar Garcia Jr. pulled over the 2003 Ford F-250 on US Highway 59 on Nov. 25 after checking the license plate number. The pickup was reported stolen from R&B Truck and Auto in La Grange sometime over the weekend of Nov. 20-22.

Gilbreath said Garcia arrested the female driver, 31-year-old Adrien Nicole Muniz, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Gilbreath said Garcia located four grams of methamphetamine and three doses of the psychedelic drug LSD during the stop. He also charged her with possession of a controlled substance.

Gilbreath said the pickup was not severely damaged. It has been returned to the owner, he said. Gilbreath said Muniz admitted to Trooper Garcia that she and a friend stole the vehicle from La Grange. She did not identify the accomplice. Gilbreath said Muniz has some ties to the La Grange area.
