St. Rose Christmas Around The World Will Look a Little Different

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School will once again be holding their Christmas Around the World celebration and fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 12. This year the event will not follow its traditional format given the growing concerns around COVID-19.

The children are still preparing their Christmas pageant, but it will be shared virtually. Be sure to watch the St. Rose of Lima School website and Facebook page for the details. Currently, students and home and school association family members are pre-selling raffle tickets for $25 per ticket or six tickets for $100. The grand prize is a $10,000 VISA gift card. With so many events canceled this year, each facet of this year’s Christmas Around the World is critical to the success of the HSA’s efforts. On Saturday evening there will also be a drive-thru dinner and bake sale at the Schulenburg Hall. HSA families will be serving picnic style stew with potatoes and green beans from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m for $10 per plate. Any leftover stew will be sold at 7 p.m. for $20 per quart. The auction has been moved to an online platform.
