St. Paul Turkey Stew Fundraiser This Saturday

The local Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a drivethru chicken and sausage gumbo this Friday evening, Nov. 13, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church hall pits from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $10 for a serving of gumbo with rice. St. Paul Lutheran Church will be having their 40th annual turkey stew on Saturday, Nov. 14. Serving begins at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at the Old Fire Station on the town square. The cost will be $8 per quart. A bake sale will also be held in conjunction with the stew.
The Fayetteville Cycling Club will be riding on Sunday, Nov. 15, with routes of 7 miles, 17 miles or 28 miles in and around the town of Fayetteville. Registration will be held on Saturday on the square from 2 to 5 p.m. On Sunday, registration will be from 6:30 to 8 a.m. with the ride beginning at 8 a.m. This ride benefits the Fayetteville School Athletic Department and the Education Foundation. Thanksgiving Worship
St. Paul Lutheran Church will be hosting a Thanksgiving worship service jointly with the Shared Lutheran Ministry congregations and with the Fayetteville Brethren Church on Monday, Nov. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul. The theme for the service will be “Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving.”
Food Truck At Waldeck
The Central Texas Food Truck will be distributing food as a drive-thru on Friday, Nov. 20, at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located on FM 1291 North. This will be from 10 to 11 a.m.
