Rightmer Graduates from Baylor University

Lane Rightmer graduated with a Master of Science in Nutrition from Baylor University on Dec. 19. The ceremony was typical 2020 with virtual graduation taking place via her name rolling across the McLane Stadium jumbotron instead of Lane getting to walk across a stage. She also obtained her Registered Dietitian credential in August of 2020.

Lane will be working as a dietitian at a hospital in Waco and will also be teaching an undergraduate nutrition course at Baylor University in the spring semester. She is the daughter of Clay and Jennifer Rightmer and granddaughter of Harrell and Billie Rightmer of Schulenburg; and Will and Marilyn Howard of Horseshoe Bay and the granddaughter of the late Jeanne Howard.

Out And About

Jan Anderson and daughter Taylor Anderson along with Judy Jordan and daughter Elizabeth Jordan slipped in to Muldoon for a quick visit with the Wetjen side of the family.

Darrell and Dana Kulak slipped off for the day to Whar-ton to do a few errands and get a little Christmas details taken care of.

Jennifer and Clay Rightmer enjoyed their kids Lane Rightmer and Reed Rightmer coming in for the holidays.

Weather

Muldoon had lots of wind on Wednesday night into Tuesday morning. No rain came in with the front, but temperatures dropped. There was some wind damage to trees. Rain is needed with only about three hundredth falling this past week. We missed the wonder amounts of rain that fell in other spots in the region.

Neighborhood Watch

‘Tis the season to keep an eye out for your neighbors’ place. If you see something or someone odd or out of place please call. We all need to pull together to keep the area safe. If you get a chance stop and speak to your neighbor. There are a lot of new faces out in the woods and Christmas is a great time to meet and get to know these new faces.

Happy New Year

I want to wish everyone who takes the time to read this column a very “Happy New Year” that is blessed. Here’s hoping 2021 is a better year.
