Republican Women Will Meet Oct. 15

The Fayette County Republican Women (FCRW) will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the La Grange City Hall Council Chambers 155 E. Colorado in La Grange. The social time starts at 6 p.m. and business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Guest speaker will be Craig Moreau, Chief of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Emergency Management Coordinator. He is in charge of preparing for a response to emergency situations throughout the county by developing the county’s emergency management plan, which provides the framework upon which Fayette County prepares for, responds to and performs its emergency response functions during times of natural, man-made, or national emergencies. Emergency management also provides public education and training exercises to county departments and outside agencies. It advises and warns the public through the local radio stations, sirens, and the DPS about the severity of the emergency and the response and recovery under way. Craig has resided in Fayette County for 13 years. He gained his experience with emergency management through his career as a fire captain and paramedic captain with the Houston Fire Department, Crisis Response Team leader with AIG, and through routine and emergency medical missions throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

Current recommendations for COVID-19 safety precautions will be followed during the meeting. Please plan to join.
