St. James BBQ

The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club will hold a barbecue Saturday, Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out, at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B. A half chicken will be $3.50 and sausage links are $5, drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of Mini Horse Helpers. The Holy Smokers will be observing COVID protocols.

Hermann Sons

Hermann Sons Life Shelby will not have a Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 13. More information will follow when the next scheduled meeting will be held.

Christmas Party

The Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge No. 151 will have their annual Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Quade-Werchan American Legion Hall at Round Top. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a social hour and include a catered meal, recognition of those members celebrating 50 and 60 year membership anniversaries and a “rob your neighbor” gift exchange. Members are asked to bring a dessert to share and are reminded that we will be gathering the donations collected for the children of CASA. Derwood Schulle Fundraiser Dinner

A drive-thru fundraising dinner for Derwood Schulle will be held on Monday, Dec. 14. All proceeds benefit his bile duct cancer treatment and medical bills. Meal will be a homestyle meatloaf, creamy mashed potatoes and southern green beans. Pick up will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the side door of The Wine Bar at the Grand Fayette Hotel located at 201 W. City of Ellinger Meeting

The first meeting of the City of Ellinger is Monday, Dec. 21 at the Ellinger Chamber dining hall at 6 p.m.

La Grange Citizen Police

If you are interested in helping the La Grange Citizen Police please join them on Jan. 21 2021 for their next class. Parkinson’s Support Group

Anyone struggling with Parkinson’s, the Parkinson’s Support Group is reactivated in La Grange the third Thursday of every month for patients and caregivers.
