The Fayette County Fair Commercial Heifer Show and Sale took place onAug. 28 and 29.

Eighty-six Fayette County 4-H and FFA members competed in the following competitions, Recordbook/Interview, Herdsman Quiz, and Salesmanship Contest, and 161 head of high-quality bred heifers were exhibited and sold for a total of $1,142,100 which is about $7,094 average per head. Both were records for this event. $14,575 was awarded in premium money to top place heifers and educational event winners.
