Rat Attack In La Grange Makes Woman Flee Her Home

A local woman suffered an attack by rats last Saturday, Sept. 12.

According to a report from the La Grange Police Department, officers received a call stating that a woman was walking down the 100 block of east Travis Street barefoot and bleeding from the arm. Officer Bret Meinardus responded and located the woman.

The woman told Meinardus she was bitten by a rat in her apartment and fled when she found more rats.

The woman asked Meinardus to contact a friend to pick her up so she could deal with the problem. The woman declined medical assistance.
