Parents as Teachers Announce Art Contest Winners

The Schulenburg Weimar Area Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program recently held it first art contest to recognize parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

Children were asked to create a picture of themselves and the grown-up(s) in their life that they recognize as their first and most important teacher. PAT appreciates Hatari Wildlife Park and Arts for Rural Texas for their support and partnership and the area schools for promoting the contest and all the children who participated.

Winners of a $10 gift certificate were David Molina, Chloe Brandt and Ella Banse. All participants received a coupon for a Sonic treat.
