NVCC Decides to Close Until 2021

The Navidad Valley Community Connections Center made the difficult decision to prolong the closure of the Center temporarily during this busy time of the year.

“We are closing due to the increased COVID-19 activity in the state and specifically, in some of the counties surrounding Fayette County, in order to protect our members, staff, and volunteers. Our members are older adults, so various factors put them in a vulnerable population, and we are working to keep us all safe,” said Cindy Villarreal, director of operations.

It is out of an abundance of caution and care that NVCC has decided to keep the center closed for the remainder of the month of December and into mid-January 2021 in response to the rise in COVID cases. NVCC continues to stress the importance of using and implementing cautious protocols, such as mask wearing, frequent handwashing, and social distancing.
