LG Police Chief Reports on Recent Activity
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 13-20.
Agency Assist
On Dec. 16, Patrolman Kevin Currington responded to the 2500 block of Highway 71 Bypass to assist deputy on a man with a gun.
Assault
On Dec. 18, Patrolman Brett Meinardus was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado where complainant advised her daughter was assaulted in her vehicle. Officer spoke to the complainant and received her statement. Officer took fingerprints of the vehicle and photos of the injuries.
Accident
On Dec. 15, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. State Highway 71 in regard to a traffic accident.
On Dec. 16, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to a twovehicle minor accident at the intersection of N. Jefferson and Colorado.
On Dec. 17, Patrolman Brian Adams observed a minor traffic collision in the high school parking lot in the 800 block of S. Vail. Both parties exchanged information.
On Dec. 18, Patrolman Cari Haman responded to an accident in the 200 block of E. Travis. Officer took report.
Alarm
On Dec. 13, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of an alarm with side door entry in the 900 block of E Travis. Officer found an employee who did not have the alarm code had set off alarm.
On Dec. 14, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Jefferson for a business alarm. Officer arrived and found all to be secure.
On Dec. 16, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson for a burglar alarm and upon arrival found all to be secure and no sign of forced entry.
On Dec. 17, Zwahr responded to an alarm in the 800 block of E. Travis. Officer checked the business and found it to be secure.
On Dec. 17, Currington was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Jefferson for an alarm. Officer checked the building and all was secure.
On Dec. 19, Meinardus responded to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for an alarm going off. Officer went and checked the building and found it was secure and no sign of forced entry.
On Dec. 20, Meinardus responded to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for an alarm going off. Officer checked the building and found it was secure with no signs of forced entry.
On Dec. 20, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
On Dec. 20, Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson in regard to an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
Civil Matter
On Dec. 13, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a civil matter in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe.
On Dec. 18, Adams responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business where complainant advised her husband came into her place of work to harass her and she wished to obtain a restraining order. The subject was advised to contact an attorney.
Criminal Mischief On Dec. 14, Patrolman
On Dec. 14, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Ellinger in regard to criminal mischief. Officer took report.
On Dec. 19, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood hollow in regard to a disturbance between a male and female.
Harassment
On Dec. 15, Chief Gilbreath responded to the 200 block of E. Colorado where complainant reported a subject left a card on her front door.
On Dec. 17, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 800 block of N. Eckel where complainant believes a known subject was harassing him by displaying the middle finger at him as he drove by.
Loitering
On Dec. 14, Patrolman Justin Koehne responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business where complainant advised subjects were in the parking lot asking for money and refusing to leave. Officer made contact with subjects and they left the property.
Missing Person
On Dec. 16, Currington spoke with an individual at the police station in regard to his aunt not returning from a dentist appointment. Officer was able to discover the location for the missing aunt. Officer advised subject that his aunt had been found.
Property Damage
On Dec. 14, Koehne responded to the 800 block of E. Travis for an 18-wheeler that lost two tires and jumped the cemetery fence and damaged several headstones. The 18-wheeler kept driving and no information was available.
Public Intoxication On Dec. 18, Wostarek was
On Dec. 18, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a disturbance. One subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
Possession
On Dec. 18, Koehne stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 400 block of E. Travis and marijuana was located in plain view inside of the vehicle. Driver was arrested.
Reckless Driving
On Dec. 14-Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Monroe in regard to a reckless driver. Caller stated that the vehicle was a white GMC long bed truck. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate vehicle.
Theft
On Dec. 13, Mohr received a call of theft in the 200 block of S. Ellinger. Officer took report.
