Lee County to Dedicate Veterans Honor Park

The Lee County Texas Veterans Association will dedicate their newly installed Honor Park located in the City of Giddings, Veterans Park on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Local city, county, state, and military officials will dedicate the Honor Park with a military flyover and a ceremony that will include music.

The Lee County Veterans Honor Park honors all veterans and currently serving military personnel. Plaques have been posted with names of our brave men and women of military service from Lee County. Researchers have diligently sought the names from Lee County, but anyone can submit the name of a Lee County resident who has served in the US Military Forces

Lee County and its citizens are proud of their military heritage and are committed to honoring them with a beautiful honor park complete with recognition of all branches of the military on the center monument and flagpoles. The individual walls will list the names of Lee County service men and women.

“This project will pay homage to all families whose husbands, wives, sons, and daughters have served. This is our moment, our time to honor these military men and women, who have given all of us the freedoms and liberties that so many Americans enjoy each day. It is important to the community, and important to our service men and women,” stated Lee County Judge Paul Fischer.

The Lee County Texas Veterans Association is a 501© 3 nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible and help with the construction of the Veterans Honor Park, located at the corner of Old Hwy. 20 and Raymond Street, in Veterans Park.
