Lawn Equipment a Suspect in Vehicle Damage Investigation
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 20-27.
Shattered Glass
On Sept. 23, Emmons responded to One St. Marks Place where complainant discovered the rear widow was shattered on his vehicle. A rifle, rifle case, and ammunition were still in the rear of the vehicle. Lawn maintenance was being done around the complainant’s vehicle and complainant believes the damage was caused by lawn maintenance.
Family Violence
On Sept. 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with a female subject who stated that she was assaulted. Male subject was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
Animal Complaint On Sept. 21, Patrolman John Wostarek spoke with caller in regard to an animal complaint in the 900 block of E. Pearl.
On Sept. 24, Animal Control Office Dean Ahlschlager checked on a chicken running in the 400 block of S. Lester.
Alarm
On Sept. 24, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a holdup alarm in the 100 block of W. Colorado. Officer arrived and found it to be a false alarm.
On Sept. 25, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block of E Travis in regard to an alarm. Officer made contact with the delivery driver who advised he set the alarm off by accident.
On Sept. 26, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to a burglary alarm in the 500 block of W. Travis. Officer found no sign of burglary or forced entry.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 20, Mohr received a call of a civil dispute over property in the 600 block of N. Washington.
On Sept. 21, Patrolman Justin Koehne responded to the 900 block of E. Colorado where complainant wanted to talk to the officer about some problems that may have happened at a memorial service. Officer was unable to make contact with subject.
Disorderly Conduct
On Sept. 26, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis where caller stated that there appeared to be three people fighting outside of the store. Officer went to the location and the subjects had left the location. Officer spoke to the caller who stated that they had stopped
On Sept. 21, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Travis in regard to a subject that had used their dumpster. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the caller about the incident.
Accident
On Sept. 25, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis where caller stated that someone ran into her vehicle while she was in the store. The accident occurred in the parking lot. The officer provided a crash report and gathered information.
Suspicious Vehicle/Subject
On Sept. 21, Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of W. Travis in regard to a suspicious person.
On Sept. 23, Patrolman Robin Emmons was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 for an unruly customer. The individual was a white male wearing a tie dye shirt and had brown hair. He was last seen walking toward Ellinger Road.
On Sept. 24, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to noise outside of a complainant’s apartment in the 1000 block of N. Madison. Complainant stated that there was a female knocking on his door. The female was no longer at the location and call was cleared.
On Sept. 26, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Travis in regard to suspicious activity. Subject was found to be unlawfully carrying a weapon and officer took information. Male subject left after speaking with officer.
On Sept. 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin in regard to a suspicious person. Officer arrived on location and located a male subject. Male subject left after speaking with officer.
Theft
On Sept. 20, Mohr received a call of possible credit/debit card abuse. Caller did not know where the theft of information occurred. fighting shortly after she saw them.
Littering
On Sept. 22, Koehne responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a theft.
On Sept. 25, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a theft.
On Sept. 27, Meinardus spoke with a caller that advised that a female drove up to his house and began arguing with him and his wife. Caller asked the subject to leave and she refused. Caller stated that she took off in the vehicle and he dropped his phone in her car. Officer is attempting to locate the subject to get the caller’s cell phone back.
Verbal Dispute
On Sept. 22, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of Northpointe for a possible disturbance between a male and female. Officer spoke with both parties and both advised the dispute was over and the dispute was verbal only.
On Sept. 22, Meinardus was dispatched to the 500 block of Koenig Lane where caller stated that she was arguing with her boyfriend and she wanted him to leave. Upon arrival officer spoke to both parties and subject agreed to leave the location.
Welfare Check
On Sept. 24, Mohr received a call of a welfare check in the 1000 block of Highway 159. Officer arrived and found the person to be fine.
On Sept. 24, Anderson responded to the 900 block of S. Washington for a welfare check.
On Sept. 25, Koehne responded to the 500 block of E. Fannin for a welfare check and the subject was fine.
On Sept. 25, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of Sherwood for a welfare check and all was fine.
On Sept. 25, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a welfare check. Subject advised all was fine.
Miscellaneous
On Sept. 24, Mohr received a call of a subject throwing rocks at cars in the 900 block of E. Colorado. Officer met with the subject.
On Sept. 26, Wostarek responded to the 600 block of E. Pearl where complainant advised that they found two game cameras at the location. Officer picked up the cameras from the complainant.
On Sept. 27, Wostarek responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison where caller stated that the people in the apartment above him were talking loud. Upon arrival officer did not hear anyone talking loud in the apartment above the caller.
On Sept. 27, Meinadus responded to the 700 block of Heintze for loud music. Officer made contact with the homeowner and they turned the music down and apologized for the noise.
