La Grange Police Respond to Broken Car Windows
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct 25 through Nov. 1.
Criminal Mischief
On Oct 26, Mohr received a call of multiple vehicles with windows broken out in the 1600 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
Alarm
On Oct 25, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to an alarm. Officer checked the business and found it to be secured.
On Oct 28, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of Highway 159 for a silent panic alarm. Officer arrived on location and spoke to an employee who stated that everything was fine and he hit the button by accident.
On Oct 30, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of W Colorado for an alarm at the walk up ATM machine. Officer arrived on location and found the ATM machine to be secure.
Accident
On Oct 26, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of S. Madison. Officer took report.
On Oct. 26, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to a two vehicle minor accident in the 900 block of S. Jefferson.
On Oct 27, Zwahr responded to the 200 block of W Pearl for a minor one-vehicle accident No property was damaged.
On Oct 27, Mohr responded to the 200 block of E. Travis for an accident where a city light pole had been knocked down.
On Oct 27, Mohr responded to the 300 block of N. Jackson for a minor accident.
On Oct. 28, Maxwell was dispatched to the intersection of E. Colorado and N. Franklin in regard to a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
On Oct 30, Zwahr responded to a minor two-vehicle accident at the intersection of N. Franklin and E. Travis.
On Oct 30, Mohr received a call of a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of S. Vail.
Animal Complaint
On Oct 25, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Miller in regard to a stray dog. Officer arrived and transported the dog to the animal shelter.
On Oct 25, Maxwell spoke to a caller in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to an animal complaint.
On Oct 26, Zwahr picked up a dog in the 500 bock of E. Pearl and transported the dog to the animal shelter.
On Oct. 29, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Crockett in regard to a deer that was hung up on a fence. Officer removed the deer.
On Oct 29, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. Highway 71 Bypass in regard to a stray dog. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate the stray dog.
On Oct 31, Mohr received a call of a missing dog in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe. Officer arrived and was unable to locate. Owner then located the missing dog and it was returned back home.
Agency Assist
On Oct 29, Meinardus was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Von Minden where caller had requested EMS but could not get out of bed to open the door. Upon arrival at location, officer knocked on the back door and spoke to the subject’s mother, who opened the house so EMS could get to the patient.
Fraud
On Oct 27, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 800 block of E. Travis where complainant’s credit card was used to purchase items online at Walmart. An unknown subject who the complainant did not authorize to purchase items picked up the items.
On Oct 30, Mohr received a call of possible fraud in the 1900 block of State Highway 159.
Harassment
On Oct 31, Mohr responded to the 600 block of W Travis where complainant had received a call of a threatening voicemail.
Suspicious PersonNehicle
On Oct 27, Emmons responded to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in reference to two females asking for gas money in a white Dodge caravan near the gas pumps. Vehicle and occupants left the parking lot prior to officer’s arrival.
On Oct 28, Maxwell spoke to a caller in the 400 block of S. Washington in regard to suspicious activity.
On Oct 29, Wostarek responded to the 100 block of S. Washington where complainant advised of a suspicious person at the location earlier in the day.
On Oct 29, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a suspi-cions vehicle. Officer arrived on location and located the vehicle. The female subject stated they were having problems with the vehicle and were going to leave it parked over night.
Theft
On Oct 27, Mohr received a call of a theft in the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer took report upon arrival.
On Oct 31, Emmons responded to the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business where a known suspect attempted to leave the place of business without paying for merchandise. Subject was stopped while exiting the store.
Trespassing
On Oct 30, Zwahr responded to One St. Mark’s Place where a subject was refusing to leave his room. Subject agreed to move into the waiting room to wait fora ride.
On Oct 30, Zwahr was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place where a subject was refusing to leave the premises. Officer spoke with the subject and helped them to their vehicle.
Verbal Dispute
On Oct 26, Zwahr responded to a disturbance in the 1700 block of State Highway 71 Bypass. The subject was gone upon officer’s arrival.
On Oct 28, Wostarek was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to several subjects having a verbal dispute in the parking lot. Officer arrived on location and spoke with the complainant and they advised the subjects had left prior to officer’s arrival.
Miscellaneous
On Oct 26, Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to loud music. Upon arrival officer heard no loud music.
On Oct 26, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of W. Highway 71 Business for a blue bag in the roadway. Officer arrived and found a large blue tarp beside the roadway and moved it away from the road so it could not blow back on the road.
On Oct 27, Currington responded to the 300 block of E. Live Oak and spoke with a subject about a civil matter.
On Oct 28, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Madison in regard to a rental vehicle that had not been returned.
On Oct 28, Maxwell tagged a trailer and owner removed the trailer in the 600 block of S. Jefferson.
On Oct. 28, Wostarek spoke with a caller in the 800 block of S Washington in regard to a civil matter.
