La Grange Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 1-9.
On Nov. 4, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 100 block of S. Jefferson in regard to a minor accident, which had occurred outside the city limits. Neither party wished to pursue the matter with having a report made. The call was cleared.
On Nov. 6, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the intersection of E. Milam and S. Jefferson in regard to a two-vehicle accident.
Alarm
On Nov. 3, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson for an alarm. Officer found the building was secure and no signs of forced entry.
On Nov. 4, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a burglar alarm in the 2000 block of W. State Highway 71 Business. Officer upon arrival found employee had set the alarm off.
On Nov. 3, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Jefferson to an alarm. Officer found all to be secure upon arrival.
On Nov. 6, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to an alarm in the 600 block of S. Jefferson for an alarm and officer checked the business and found it to be secure.
On Nov. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 700 block of W. Travis in regard to an alarm. Officer upon arrival found all to be secure.
Agency Assist
On Nov. 3, Wostarek was dispatched to One St Mark’s Place to assist a Lee County officer with a subject.
On Nov. 3, Meinardus was dispatched to One St Mark’s Place to assist getting a patient into his vehicle.
On Nov. 7, Maxwell assisted the Schulenburg police with a subject at One St Mark’s Place.
Civil Matter
On Nov. 1, Meinardus was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 where complainant stated that she placed money on a phone card but the money was not placed on it Complainant had a receipt and wanted a refund but was advised by store employee that she would have to wait for the manager. Officer advised her it was a civil matter.
On Nov. 2, Patrolman Justin Koehne was dispatched to the 2500 block of N. Jefferson and spoke with complaintant about a civil matter.
On Nov. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to a dispute between neighbors in the 700 block of W Colorado.
On Nov. 5, Mohr received a call of a civil matter between two parties in the 700 block of W Colorado.
On Nov. 5, Anderson responded to the 800 block of S. Washington in regard to a civil matter between a husband and wife, which involved a vehicle.
On Nov. 5, Anderson spoke with complainant in the 500 block of E. Pecan in regard to civil matter.
Criminal Mischief
On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado in regard to mailboxes that had been damaged.
On Nov 3, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 200 block of E. Travis where an unkncmin suspect gained entry into the victims truck by punching out the door lock and once inside suspect damaged the ignition.
On Nov. 4, Zwahr responded tot a call of a vehicle’s backseat window being shattered in the 1400 block of W. State Highway 71 Business.
Citizen Assist
On Nov. 2, Meinardus responded to the 900 block of S. Washington where complainant stated that an individual he works with followed him home and started to fight with him. Complainant did not want to press charges since they are friends.
On Nov. 3, Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to loud neighbors. Officer upon arrival heard nothing and knocked on the door and received no answer.
Conduct
On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Travis in regard to an irate customer. Officer made contact with the subject Officer issued a criminal trespass warning to the subject.
On Nov. 4, Mohr received a call of an irate person at One St Mark’s Place. Officer arrived on scene and settled the incident.
Disturbance
On Nov. 4, Zwahr responded to a disturbance at Bluffview Apartments and upon officer’s arrival subject was gone.
Driving Under the Influence
On Nov. 2, Wostarek arrested a subject in the 100 block of S. Reynolds for a DUI minor and individual was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
Family Violence
On Nov. 3, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe in regard to a disturbance. Officer took information and completed an incident report.
Fire
On Nov. 9, Meinardus was patrolling when he found the dumpster located in the softball field in the 900 block of S. Vail parking lot on fire. Officer notified dispatch and the fire department responded and put out the fire.
Harassment
On Nov. 3, Koehne was dispatched to the 600 block of W. Lower Line where complaint advised that his wife keeps getting harassing phone calls and messages form different numbers. Officer advised complainant to block the number.
Public Intoxication
On Nov. 6, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail in regard to an intoxicated subject Officer arrived on location and located the subject Subject was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
On Nov. 9, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Colorado where complainant advised people were following him. Officer spoke to the subject who was in the street and appeared to be intoxicated. Subject admitted to using methamphetamine and officer arrested the subject and transported subject to jail.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Nov. 1, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass for a suspicious subject dancing in the store and acting odd. Officer made contact with the subject and took information. Subject was not intoxicated.
Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of S. Jefferson where caller advised her brother called her and stated a subject was at her residence. Officer arrived and was unable to locate subject
On Nov. 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of Highway 159 in regard to a suspicious person. Officer arrived on location and located a male subject Male subject stated that he was waiting for his boss.
On Nov. 3, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Brown in regard to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle ended up being stolen.
On Nov. 8, Meinardus was dispatched to the 500 block of E Pecan where caller stated that her daughter believed she saw an individual standing outside of her home. Officer checked the area but did not find anyone.
On Nov. 9, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of N. Jefferson where caller stated that she heard people outside. Officer spoke to the owner of the residence and the owner stated she wanted the individual out of her home because he was causing problems. Officer asked the to leave.
Shots Fired
On Nov. 1, Zwahr responded to the 200 block of Ellinger Road in regard to shots fired. Theft
On Nov. 4, Mohr received a call to meet with complainant in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe in reference to a theft.
On Nov. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to an auto theft in the 1400 block of W State Highway 71 Business.
Trespassing
On Nov. 9, Gilbreath was dispatched to the 700 block of E. Guadalupe where complainant reported that subjects were hanging out on her property and she does not want them on her property.
On Nov. 9, Gilbreath responded to the 600 block of E. Eblin where complainant wanted to keep subject off her property.
Verbal Dispute
On Nov. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the 900 block S. Jefferson in regard to a verbal dispute. Officer spoke with both parties and both agreed that everything was fine and the matter was worked out
Welfare Check
On Nov. 1, Mohr received a call of a welfare check in the 600 block of N. College. All was fine.
On Nov. 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Sarah Jo in regard to a welfare check.
On Nov. 2, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Madison in regard to a welfare check.
On Nov. 2, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of N. Horton in regard to a welfare check. Caller stated that she wanted officer to check on her neighbor because she has not seen her and she wasn’t answering her phone. Officer knocked on the individuals door but there was no answer. Garage was closed and lights were off.
On Nov. 2, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of N. River to check on an individual.
On Nov. 5, Mohr responded to the 700 block of N. Horton for a welfare check. Officer arrived and made entry to the residence.
On Nov. 5, Mohr responded to the 2400 block of N. Jefferson for a welfare concern and officer located the subject.
On Nov. 5, Zwahr responded to the 2200 block of W State Highway 71 Business to check on an elderly subject Officer stayed with the subject until a family member could pick them up.
On Nov. 6, Maxwell was dispatched to the parking lot in the 1900 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a welfare check. Officer made contact with the subject and subject advised all was fine.
On Nov. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in regard to a welfare check on a female subject.
Warrant Arrest
On Nov. 6, Meinardus responded to the 300 block of Woodhollow where complainant stated that she wanted her ex boyfriend to leave the location. Officer arrived and spoke to both parties. Officer found the subject to have an outstanding warrant and he was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.
Miscellaneous
On Nov. 1, Zwahr responded to the 100 block of E. Charles in regard to a noise complaint Officer was unable to locate any loud noise.
On Nov. 4, Zwahr responded to the 300 block of N. Jefferson and arrested a subject on two felony warrants.
On Nov. 4, Anderson received a call in regard to loud noise in the 1000 block of N. Madison.
On Nov. 5, Emmons was dispatched to the 1800 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a black Ford truck that had been on private property for seven days. The truck was not reported stolen and does not have damage that would indicate the truck is stolen. Complainant was told the vehicle could be towed as a private property tow.
