Kenneth Morris Named a Melvin Jones Fellow

Last month, Kenneth Morris, former past president of the La Grange Noon Lions, in a surprise ceremony after the butterfly garden dedication at the library, was presented with a plaque designating him as a Melvin Jones Fellow “for dedicated Humanitarian Services” by the Lions Club International Foundation.

The award is among the highest a Lions Club member can achieve. Morris has been heavily involved in so many Lions Club projects, but most recently was instrumental in the shade structure project at the library.

“This is very unexpected,” Morris said. “So many of your names should be on this plaque. I want to thank you so much.” Photo by Jeff Wick
