Antique machinery enthusiasts from across Texas set up all sorts of gas-powered contraptions on the Czech Center grounds.

Theresa Brown, executive director of the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter poses next to this replica 1966 Shelby Cobra at the Heritage Fest Car Show. The Cobra will be given away in a fundraiser drawing benefiting the Animal Shelter. The classic car was graciously donated by John and Betty Burkland. Tickets for the drawing are $25. They can be purchased online at janssenanimalshelter. org. Deadline to enter is Dec. 31. The drawing will take place Jan. 4.

Greg Kubenka and his son Keeston demonstrate sausage making. Kubenka said the recipe included mostly pork with a little axis deer. They smoked it on site and gave away samples that afternoon.

One of the more interesting vehicles on display was this unique Chevy truck with a side-dump bed.
