Food Truck in Fayetteville Next Friday
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be in Fayetteville on Friday, Dec. 4, for its monthly food distribution from 10 to 11 a.m. This is a drive thru event held at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Recreation Hall. Clients are asked to please stay in their vehicles.
Collection For VA Hospitals
The Catholic Daughters of America are collecting items for the VA hospitals through Dec. 16. Items such as toothpaste, razors, deodorants, socks, etc. will be collected. No reading material, please. A basket for the collection of the items will be at the entrance of St. John Catholic Church.
T-Shirts Available
The Fayetteville Good Ole Summertime Classic Bicycle ride held on Nov. 15 was a huge success for everyone, especially the Fayetteville School, who was the recipient of the funds collected from this ride.
T-shirts are still available from this event. They are in the school’s colors with the school logo and a bicycle on the front. The cost of the t-shirts are $10 each, and they come in sizes medium, large and extra large. This money will also go to the school.

Advent Schedule
The Shared Lutheran Ministry has announced its Advent schedule. The Advent theme is “Jesus’ Family Tree.” The theme will lift up seven of the ancestors of Jesus and how they contributed to the focus of his mission.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, services will be at St. John, Ellinger at 6 p.m.; Dec. 9 at St. Paul, Fayetteville; and Dec. 16 at St. John, Rutersville. There will be no church on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Christmas Eve services begin at 5 p.m. at St. John, Ellinger; 6 p.m. at St. John’s, Warrenton; 7 p.m. at St. Paul, Fayetteville; and at 8 p.m. at St. John, Rutersville.
On Sunday, Dec. 29, St. John’s, Warrenton will host a joint service with lessons and carols.
