Fall Antiques Show Begins Oct. 15
It’s Antiques Show month. The 2020 Fall Antiques Show begins on Thursday, Oct. 15. Show organizers, vendors and all who are involved in planning this event have been monitoring the situation closely, and special safety protocols have been put in place. Show venues have agreed to adopt enhanced health standards for their individual shows to include: mandatory masks for shoppers and dealers when social distancing cannot be achieved, a shopping set up to ease the ability to remain socially distant, capacity limits according to state standards at the time and enhanced hand sanitizing facilities. Chamber of Commerce
The Round Top Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8. A social time starts at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at 9 a.m. If you are unable to attend the meetings, the agenda and minutes are posted on the Chamber’s website at roundtopchamber.com, under the “Membership” tab.

Rifle Hall Burger Nights
Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Hamburger Nights are held on the first through fourth Mondays of each month from 5 to 8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the Round Top Rifle Hall Association. Several safety measures have been put in place, including outdoor seating and to-go packaging for the food.
Family Library
The Round Top Family Library is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. There will be a garden workday on Monday, Oct. 5, from 8 to 11 a.m. For more information about the library, visit their website at ilovetoread.org.
Winedale
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, at noon, Bryan McAuley, site manager at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site, will share a quick overview of the San Felipe project, which culminated in the opening of a new visitor center in the spring of 2018. The site shares the stories of Stephen F. Austin and his efforts to recruit settlers to Mexican Texas between 1821 and 1836, and is located at the site of his Colony headquarters. Of note, the program will discuss a current outdoor exhibit project that will result in some representative buildings from one of the most significant blocks from the business district of the town.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church services with Pastor John David Nedbalek are held on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion is being celebrated once again using individual, prepackaged units.
The 62nd Annual Chicken Fry will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Round Top Rifle Hall. All proceeds benefit Historic Bethlehem Lutheran Church, celebrating 154 years of faith and fellowship. Tickets are drive-thru only and must be purchased in advance. The meal will be fried chicken, noodles and green beans. RT Christian Fellowship
Round Top Christian Fellowship church services have been moved to 9 a.m. and are being held outside under the covered pavilion. This is an effort to not be in a closed space during the pandemic. 4-H Poinsettia Sale
The members of Fayette County 4-H are selling Poinsettias for Christmas now through the end of the month. Pick-up will be in December. Contact a local 4-H member to order yours.
