Dumpster Fire at the High School Softball Field Monday Morning

La Grange Firefighters put out a dumpster fire near the La Grange High School softball field early Monday morning.

According to La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, Police Officer Brett Meinardus was patrolling the area around the school when he noticed the dumpster on fire. He called La Grange Fire Department, who quickly responded.

Fire Chief Frank Menefee said firefighters quickly put out the fire, but they were not able to determine how it started.
