Carmine Night Out to Feature Flag Retirement Ceremony
Carmine Night Out will be Thursday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at Carmine Volunteer Fire Department.
TheAmerican Legion Post 38 will perform a flag retirement ceremony at 6:30 p.m. followed by brief speeches from local officials. Come hear our local dignitaries and take the opportunity to ask questions. Flags are collected year-round at the Carmine Museum and Visitor Center, the Village Market, and the Carmine Post Office.
Hot dogs, refreshments, and door prizes are provided by Carmine Lions, Carmine VFD, and Carmine Chamber. Free photo memorabilia by TX 2 Step Photo Booth. The event is free and open to the public.
Bingo at Carmine Hall
Bingo will be at Carmine Hall, Friday, Sept. 25. There will be 12 Regular Games - $100 Jackpot per game. 2 Cover all games with $200 Jackpot. Doors Open 4 p.m., Games start at 6 p.m. Food and are available.
Ledbetter Bingo
Ledbetter Bingo will be on Sunday, Sept. 20. Bingo is the second Sunday of the month with the exception of May, June and Sept. Those months it will be the third Sunday of the month.
Waldeck Food Truck

Carmine 42 Domino Club
The Carmine 42 Domino Club met on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at JW Steakhouse in Carmine for their monthly match. After eating an enjoyable lunch, eight competitive games of 42 were played among partners determined by drawing for positions at the tables. The high scoring partners were La Verne Albers and Betty Porter with a score of 1,972 and playing one hand of 84. Edith Flinn And Marlene Waak were second place with a score of 1,767 while playing one hand of 84. Linda Mattocks and Donna Mueller played three hands of 84. Jeannette Schoenst and Myrt Meinkowsky also played eight games of 42. Everyone enjoyed the competitive domino games and fellowship. This 42 group will be ready to play again on Wednesday, October 7, at JW Steakhouse at 11 a.m.

Carmine Lions had their regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Windmill Ranch Lodge beginning at 6 p.m. After the meal, Steph Jarvis presented information about the Burton Cotton Gin Museum. All are invited to attend the meetings. For questions, call (979) 451-1507.
