Bubela, Mueller, Morgan and Hayworth in on Land Deal

At a meeting last Wednesday, Fayette County Commissioners approved an application to divide 55.87 acres of property just to the east of Schulenburg.

According to the application, the subdividers are Schulenburg Councilman Chip Bubela, Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Dan Mueller, Clay Morgan and John Hayworth. The application says the developers intend to sell lots for residential development.

The property will be split into three tracts. The first tract will be 7.87 acres, the second tract will be 23 acres and the third tract will be 25 acres. All lots would have road frontage along Schulenburg’s Avenue B.

Fayette County Inspector Clint Sternadel said the developers may seek annexation from the City of Schulenburg.

“With first approval by the County, the City of Schulenburg and the applicants are considering annexing this as part of the City,” Sternadel told commissioners at the meeting.

Annexation would ensure access to utilities and other city services.
