Hermann Sons Lodge No. 151
The Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge No. 151 will have their annual Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Quade-Werchan American Legion Hall in Round Top. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a social hour and include a catered meal, recognition of those members celebrating 50- and 60-year membership anniversaries and a “rob your neighbor” gift exchange. Members are asked to bring a dessert to share, a gift for the exchange and are reminded that we will be gathering the donations collected for the children of CASA. The Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge No. 151 invite members and friends to donate items for the children under the supervision of CASA. Any items needed by a child aged from birth to 18 years are appreciated and can be dropped off at the Round Top Real Estate office or at Pam’s Shop in Round Top.
Hamburger Nights
Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Hamburger Nights are held on the first through fourth Mondays of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the Round Top Rifle Hall Association. Town Council
The Town of Round Top Town Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall Courthouse, 100 Main Street. This month’s meeting is set for Dec. 14. If you have any questions, email TownClerk@rttx.us.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion is celebrated using individual, prepackaged units.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church had their festive Christmas Bible study on Thursday morning, Dec. 3, with Joys Baird serving as hostess. Pastor John David Nedbalek led the discussion of Advent, preparing for Christmas and remembering traditions of years past. As the calendar year ends and the new church year begins, we need God to heal our world. We need God’s guidance to help us celebrate and cherish all people for their color, their age, their abilities and their unique perspectives. Advent is about God’s gift, His justice, His mercy and His eternal reign. We all need to join in the work for God’s kingdom.
The next Bible study will be on Jan. 7, 2021 at 9 a.m.
Advent services will be held on Wednesday nights in December at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, beginning at 7 p.m.
