AMEN Serves 376 Families In November
The Christmas holiday period is upon us and the need for food in the community is greater than ever with the pandemic impact to the area.
AMEN appreciates the community and all that continue to provide the funding and donations of food products to provide this much needed service to the community. The volunteers that provide the constant labor and the Rotary Club for providing assistance for many months with traffic control and other needs. Appreciation to HEB and Walmart with their continued Feeding America impact with food product given weekly, without these items the pantry would not be able to provide the amount of food to clients
Hopefully, things will become normal in the future, however for the continuing near future donations will be needed and the volunteers to handle the influx of individuals that require food assistance. The need is great and AMEN appreciates all that pro-vide funding and food to allow individuals not to go hungry.
For November a total of 376 families were served with a total headcount of 1,095. Food donations were 5,526 pounds and 127 volunteers provided service for the month. The Waldeck mobile pantry served 246 clients with the help of 17 volunteers.
