The number of active COVID cases continues to creep back up in Fayette County.
As of Sunday night, county officials were reporting 40 confirmed active cases here along with 14 probable cases.
There were 39 active cases last Wednesday.
Here in Fayette County the highest number of active cases was in late July when more than 150 active cases were reported. That number dipped down below 20 for a short time in mid-August, but has since risen again.
The number of COVID deaths here remains at 10.
