Voters Don’t Fall for Misleading Ads

To the editor:

The governor’s “dog & pony“ ad is juvenile. Voters do not fall for such garbage. Following Trump’s policy of distraction won’t work with Texas voters. MAGA might fall for it, but it is an insult to us. The governor’s antics are not useful or appropriate. The ad is misleading because the Texas Legislature does not levy property taxes. The cited votes were procedural opposition to revenue caps. As always, we must speak “truth to power.”
