A Thoughtful Young Man

To the editor:

In a time when the headlines frequently report the many things that are wrong in this world, here in La Grange on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 16 something wonderful happened. While checking out after shopping at Dollar Tree, an unexpected act of kindness came our way.

Matthew Filla a young man in the 5th grade at La Grange Elementary school, asked if he could help us with our basket of purchased items. These two old ladies were delighted by his offer to help. He pushed out multiple baskets and helped load items in the car and returned the baskets to the store.

He was a servant, the hands, and feet of Jesus, which truly lifted our spirits and was such an encouragement.

We receive this welcoming attitude every week when we shop at Dollar Tree for AMEN. If you know Matthew Filla, please thank him for being such a thoughtful young man.
