The Big Eyesore

To the editor:

I would like to make a suggestion in regards to the ‘big eyesore,’ the concrete planter along Travis St. on the square. Let me preface by thanking whoever added plants to the planter, that was a great improvement. I think simply painting the planter would be an inexpensive option. Or hire a muralist to paint a mural on it. I realize this may not seem like much of a priority but it is the first thing everyone sees driving by or arriving to our classically historic courthouse. We have one of the most beautiful courthouses and squares in Texas…please address the ‘big eyesore’ on the square. Thank you for your time.
