It was a big night on the diamond for the La Grange baseball and softball teams. The Lady Leps pulled off a stunning comeback over Caldwell, winning 12-11 despite being down 10-2 after four innings.
The Schulenburg baseball team saw its 16-game win streak snapped Tuesday with a 2-1 loss to Shiner. Owen Brenek pitched six innings of four-hit, two run ball for the Shorthorns, and Nick Goode pitched the final inning.
The Round Top-Carmine baseball team improved to 3-8 overall with an 11-5 victory over Brazos Valley Home School Tuesday. Kash Wessels and Will Neese hit homers for the Cubs.
The Flatonia baseball team defeated Louise 19-1 Tuesday as the Bulldogs improved to 5-10 overall this season. Kullen Kutac pitched a complete game five-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Bulldogs.
The Fayetteville baseball team improved to 3-4 this season with a 11-0 win over Bloomington Tuesday. Dylan Henneke pitched a no-hitter, striking out eight.
Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest on Tuesday, March 17. The Fayette County Senior Team, Shaker Bakers, placed 4th in the Senior Main Dish Category.
