The La Grange girls soccer team had several players earn honors on the 24-4A alldistrict team. Riley Lowe was the district’s Utility Player of the Year. Trinity Yanis was the district’s Newcomer of the Year.

Below are the District 29 golfers who qualified for the Regional Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 16 - Wednesday, April 17 at the Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor. The schools that participated at District were Round Top-Carmine, Fayetteville, Richards, McDade, and Dime Box.

The La Grange Lady Leps pounded Taylor Tuesday 11-1 in softball. Kylin Brawley homered as part of her threehit, two-RBI night. Teagan Branch had two hits, including a homer. Haylie Cooper had three hits and three RBIs. Haedyn Cooper and Sarah Kay each had two hits. Alyssa Liccioni pitched a complete game three-hitter. The Lady Leps play at Caldwell Friday.

Fayetteville hosted the District 29/30-1A area Monday. Fayetteville won both the boys and girls team titles and advanced numerous athletes (who placed in the top four) to the regional meet as did Round Top-Carmine. Here are those regional qualifiers:

All three La Grange girls swim relays earned 2024 T.I.S.C.A. All-State 4A Honorable mention awards.

The District 29-1A track meet was held April 3 in Fayetteville. The Round Top-Carmine girls won the team title with 181 points over runner up Fayetteville, which had 179.

The La Grange track team competed at the District 22-4A meet last week in Giddings. Giddings won both varsity team titles with the La Grange teams second in both. The top four finishers in each varsity district event advance to this week’s area meet in La Grange Wednesday.
