Kathryn Geesaman to Represent Fayette County at Republican National Convention

Last week the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) held its 2024 State Convention. There were many important items of business that took place but the most exciting for Republicans in Fayette County was that one of our own will be attending the Republican National Convention as an Alternate. Kathryn Geesaman of Flatonia will represent Fayette County and the entire Congressional District 10 at the Republican National Convention July 15–18, 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. “We are proud that Kathryn will be representing our Congressional District because she will do so with honesty, integrity, and a true sense of patriotism,” said Deborah Frank, Out-going Fayette County Republican Party Chairman The 2024 Republican Party of Texas State convention was held in San Antonio May 23 - 25. It was a very busy three-day convention with two Senate District caucuses, two Congressional District caucuses, and four general sessions. Fayette County was represented by our full contingent of 17 delegates: Deborah Frank, Michael Schlabach, David Stall, Linda Stall, Kimberley Rutledge, Kathryn Geesaman, Dennis Geesaman, Cindy Wingo, Patsy Parker, Jeff Parker, Barbara Appelt, Cindy Rodibaugh, Scott Rodibaugh, Glenn Altwein, Carmel Atwood, Craig Moreau, and Steven Bowman. Miranda Schlabach also attended as an Alternate.

Czech Ambassador Visits La Grange

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange hosted a visit by Miloslav Stašek, the Czech Ambassador to the United States, on Saturday, May 25. Stašek brought along a delegation of Czech diplomats and education officials who are working to establish ties with Texas businesses and universities.
