Stokes Wins $100 Football Jackpot
Travis Stokes was the winner of $100 in last week’s football pick it contest sponsored by Farmers Lumber Company. He was one of a record 14 contestants that picked all 10 games correctly but he won the money by winning the score prediction tiebreaker. Travis, a La Grange High School grad, is a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where he is the head manager of the men’s basketball team. He was unable to make it back home to accept his prize money, so his mom, Michele Stokes is shown above, left, accepting the check from Walt Jackson of Farmers Lumber Company.
