The Stanzel Family Foundation is proud to have sponsored local students to attend Camp Invention in La Grange. The students were funded through the Dale Kirn Memorial Scholarship, awarded every year to four local students who show an aptitude in science, technology, engineering, art and math in the Schulenburg or Weimar schools.

E The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of its new rescue truck. The apparatus is a Fouts FOUR (First Out Utility Rescue,) constructed on a 2022 Ford F550 4X4 Crew Cab Chassis.

The City-Wide Garage Sale put on by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce was a huge success with 32 locations on the map. Whew! The Fayetteville Lions Club scored over $3,500. This included proceeds from their Sneak Preview night.
