Koether Earns Law Degree
Ty N. Koether received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law on May 11, 2024. Ty is the son of Don Koether of La Grange, and Christine and Patrick Simons of Hallettsville. Grandparents are John and Mary White, and the late Glenn C. and Dorothy Koether all of La Grange.
NBT Opens New Bank Branch in Corpus Christi
La Grange-based National Bank & Trust celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch located at 4401 S. Staples St., Corpus Christi, with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony held on Friday, Aug. 16. Several community and business leaders from across Corpus Christi attended and enjoyed this milestone along with more than 75 guests.
Area Arts Organizations Partner to Bring Exhibit By Local Teen to Life
ARTS for Rural Texas (ARTS) is thrilled to announce the upcoming portrait exhibit “Wilderness of Mirrors” by local artist Phoenix Kooper. The exhibit will be on display from September 7 to October 12, with a kick-off reception on September 7 from 4-6 p.m. and a live Reader’s Theater performance of “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” adapted for radio by George Lowther from Oscar Wilde’s classic gothic novel, on Sept. 14.
