The Christian Worldview

To the editor:

My response to “Running out of Arguments,” I offer an alternative way of thinking to argumentation and I don’t debate.

Mr. Green conflated his objections to two of my letters. My ‘latest letter’ contained nothing about our election system, outdated voter rolls, or the League of Women Voters. (FCR 9/4/2026) As for “looking at real data,” and assessing it “honestly,” applying and sharing Bible scripture is not “hiding,” but the very purpose of a Christian worldview. Bible scripture offers corrections to human viewpoint and principles to live by. Think verse 2 of the hymn ‘Standing on the Promises’: “Standing on the promises that cannot fail when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God.”

Because I have a Christian worldview, I stand on the truth of Bible scripture. It has proven instructional, objective, stabilizing, purposeful, encouraging, infallible, forgiving and a refreshment to the soul. I have confidence in Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) “the word of God is alive and powerful…it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

I believe 1 Peter 1:25, “The Word of the Lord endures forever” and Psalm 118: 8, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.” Psalm 19:7, “The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy.” I can trust in God’s unfailing love.

One of America’s values, which is on every American coin, is “In God We Trust.” This reference is to the God of the Bible. America was founded on the principle that the God of the Bible is the source of moral values. Those values are being relentlessly attacked, dismissed, and/or ignored by much of today’s society. We learn from Bible scripture, (Job 8) the hope of the Godless perishes.

I am grateful for the privilege to have a Bible and the opportunity to learn about and share God’s Grace provisions.
