Trey Supak Makes Opening Day Start for Rangers Triple-A Team
La Grange native Trey Supak was chosen as the opening day starter for the Texas Rangers Triple-A team, the Round Rock Express, last week.
Supak pitched the first 2.1 innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out three in what ended up being a 7-4 victory for Round Rock over Sugarland, the Triple-A affiliate for the Houston Astros.
Supak is now 29 years old and was the 73rd overall pick in the 2014 MLB draft by Pittsburgh. He has played for the minor league teams of the Pirates, Brewers, Athletics, Cubs and Rangers since then.
He was briefly in the majors with the Brewers back in 2020 but is still looking to make his major league pitching debut.
