Softball Round-Up
In a must-win situation in their regular season finale Friday, the La Grange softball team beat Navasota 11-1 to finish the regular season in a tie with Caldwell for the final playoff spot in 22-4A. The Lady Leps will play a tiebreaker Monday at 6 p.m. vs. Caldwell in Navasota for that final playoff spot. On the line is a current 28-year streak of making the playoffs for the Lady Leps. In Friday’s victory Iylah King pitched a complete game one-hitter against Navasota. Haedyn Cooper had three hits, and King and Kylin Brawley each had two hits. Brion Williams and Brooke Ulrich hit doubles for the Lady Leps, who improved to (15-12-1).

The Flatonia softball team (12-6) ended its regular season with a 22-0 loss to Ganado Friday. But the Lady Bulldogs are still headed to the postseason They will take on Refugio in Bi-District. Game 1 is Thursday in Flatonia at 6 p.m. Game 2 is Friday in Refugio at 6 p.m. and if needed Game 3 will be at Harlandale Memorial Stadium Saturday at 3 p.m.

SHS Season Over
The Schulenburg softball team finished its regular season Friday with a 14-3 victory over Louise. The Lady Horns (8-13 overall and 4-8 in district) were led by Kinley Tillery who pitched a complete game four-hitter Friday and also had three hits.
