Shorthorns Get Key District Win

The Schulenburg baseball team beat Weimar Tuesday 16-4 to improve to 6-9 overall and 3-3 in district.

The Shorthorns cranked out 15 hits with Ian Reeves and Aaron Janecek each getting three hits.

Jayse Janda had two hits, including a triple. Reid Janda had two doubles and drove in five runs.

Brycen Schramek had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. He also pitched 4.2 innings, striking out 11.

Connor Lichnovsky closed out the game on the mound.
