Of Note: Schulenburg is coming off a dominant 35-0 victory over Hallettsville Sacred Heart last week in which the Shorthorns defense limited the Indians to just 129 total yards. Horns QB Aaron Janecek ran for 110 yards and threw for 98 last week and De’Terrion Houston ran for 99 yards and two touchdowns ... Rogers is coming off a 56-42 loss to Groesbeck. Last year the Eagles, a 3A team, went 9-4 but were hit pretty hard by graduation. Their star player is Bryce Watson, who ran for 1,433 yards a year ago.

Last meeting: Last year Rogers beat Schulenburg 44-23, though the Shorthorns did lead at halftime. Rogers ran for an amazing 422 yards Janecek ran for two touchdowns and threw for another for the Shorthorns.
