Of Note: Schulenburg has seemingly answered every question anyone might have had about their ability to make a long playoff run as the Shorthorns have surged through non-district play. Maybe the most impressive part of their play has been the defense which has allowed a touchdown or less in all three of their victories. Reid Janda has four interceptions in the last two weeks. The Horns beat previously unbeaten Brazos last week 35-6 as Aaron Janecek threw two TD passes to Jayse Janda and Da’Terrion Houston ran for two TDs ... Kenedy, meanwhile, is coming off a 52-0 win over Pettus last week, but they have lost to Agua Dulce and Karnes City this season.

Last meeting: Kenedy and Schulenburg last played one another in the first round of the 2021 playoffs. Schulenburg won that game 37-12.
