Of Note: Coming off an impressive 28-7 victory over Burton last week, the Shorthorns face an even tougher test against unbeaten Brazos. The Cougars have started the season with victories over Hempstead, Buna and St. John XXIII and are averaging 36 points a game led by junior dual-threat quarterback Jarvse Dickerson, who had run for 389 yards and nine TDs this season and also thrown for 261 yards. Schulenburg, meanwhile, has its own superstar quarterback in Aaron Janecek, who had three TDs last week.

Last meeting: You’ve got to go back to 2020 to find the last meeting between these two teams, a 58-6 victory by the Shorthorns. Schulenburg ran for four TDs in that game, one each by Keisean Johnson, Kenny King, Trent Mendez and Jeremiah Houston and Brett Janecek threw for 161 yards and two TDs.
