Schulenburg & Round Top-Carmine March Into 4th Round of the Playoffs

The Schulenburg and Round Top-Carmine volleyball teams continued their march towards a state title with victories in the regional quarterfinals Tuesday.

Sweep Skidmore

In Seguin, the Lady Horns beat Skidmore-Tynan 25-17, 25-22, 25-15.

Jessalyn Gipson led in kills with 11. Emmrie Marx had 10 Meredith Magliolo had eight and Reagan Dusek had four.

Kieryn Adams led in aces with three and in digs with 18.

Keaton Walker had eight digs. Landry Zapalac had 34 assists. The victory vaults the Lady Horns (35-12) into Friday’s regional semifinals at Brenham High School at 5 p.m. against Stockdale.

The winner of that match advances to Saturday’s 1 p.m. regional final back at Brenham High School against the Thrall/Johnson City victor.

Cubettes Beat

Chester in Four

In Splendora Tuesday the Round Top-Carmine Cubettes beat Chester 25-13, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12. The victory improves their record to 35-7 and advances them to the 1A regional semifinals Friday at Brenham High School. at 1 p.m. against D’Hanis. The winner of that match will return to Brenham High School Saturday at 11 a.m. for the regional title match against the Neches/Mc-Mullen Co. winner. Tuesday’s individual stats were not available at press time.
