Schulenburg Losing Two Veteran Coaches

Schulenburg girls basketball coach Larry Tidwell, who engineered a big turnaround for the Lady Horns this season has informed the school district that he will resign at the end of this month. He said family matters led to his decision.

The Schulenburg school board also accepted the resignation off assistant football coach/powerlifting coach Brad Oden, who was a former Shorthorns head football coach.

Schulenburg has about 50 applicants for its vacant head football coach position following Luke Hobbs’departure to Giddings.
