Schulenburg, Flatonia Split Games Friday on the Diamond

The Schulenburg baseball team defeated Flatonia 16-1 Friday. The Shorthorns improved to 20-4 overall and 10-1 in district play with the win. Emerson Harvey had three hits for Schulenburg, including a pair of doubles.

Connor Lichnovksy and Eli Blansitt each drove in three runs. Reid Janda doubled and drove in two runs and Jayse Janda tripled. Colton Matura and Ian Reeves hit doubles.

The Flatonia softball team defeated Schulenburg 15-0 Friday as Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game onehitter. The Lady Bulldogs are now 11-5 overall and 8-4 in district. Trussell also had three hits, including a triple, a homer and six RBIs. Abbie Uzzell also homered for Flatonia.
