Schulenburg Beats Flatonia

The Schulenburg volleyball team staged a big comeback Saturday to beat Flatonia in five sets.

The Lady Horns lost the first two sets 18-25 and 21-25, but then bounced back to win the final three sets 25-10, 2513, 15-11.

The victory improves the Lady Horns overall record to 26-10 and their district mark to 4-1. They are in a threeway tie atop the district standings with Flatonia and Weimar.

Landry Zapalac had 47 assists, three aces and 20 digs in the match.

Haylee Vacek had 19 kills and nine digs.

Emmrie Marx had 17 kills, Clara Magliolo had six and Reagan Dusek and Grace Schramekeach had five.

Avery Helms had four aces and 12 digs.

Michaela Kollman had 30 digs. Madison Kunschick had 15 digs and Miranda Bonner had six.
