Schobel, Villarreal Combine to No-Hit Snook on Senior Night

The Round Top-Carmine baseball team beat Snook 2-1 on Senior Night Tuesday.
RTC’s two senior pitchers, Tanner Schobel and Luis Villarreal, threw a combined no-hitter. They struck out 19 Snook hitters. The only run Snook scored was an unearned run in the first inning. Schobel and Villarreal also each scored a run.
Tanner Schobel threw 6.1 innings with 18 strikeouts to get the win. Villarreal got the final two outs to preserve the no-hitter and get the save. Carter Marburger hit an RBI double in the first inning that drove in Schobel.
