RTC Baseball Wins Bi-District Series

The Round Top-Carmine baseball team (7-8) swept their bi-district playoff series over Hull-Daisetta with an 8-7 win Wednesday and a 12-0 win Thursday in Huntsville.

In that Game 1 victory, Will Neese pitched 5.1 innings of one-hit, 11-strikeout ball before Miles Neese and Carter Marburger closed out the game. Facundo Cerda led the Cubs offensively in that game with two hits and three RBIs.

In Thursday’s Game 2 victory, Miles Neese of the the Cubs pitched a complete game two-hitter, and he also had three hits and two RBIs. Will Neese had two hits and two RBIs in that game.

RTC now advances to the Area round where they will face Menard in a one-gamer Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Copperas Cove.
