More H.S. Volleyball Action

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville volleyball team has upped its record to 5-1 overall after going 4-1 at the Bellville Faith Academy Tournament last week.

The Lady Lions play at Burton Tuesday.

Schulenburg

The Schulenburg volleyball team went 6-2 at the Columbus Tournament last week to win the Silver Bracket title.

The Lady Horns beat Weimar in that title match with Landry Zapalac getting 34 assists, Emmrie Marx getting 16 kills, Haylee Vacek getting 15 kills and Michaela Kollman getting 18 digs.

Also during the tourney the Lady Horns defeated Boling, Cypress Christian, St. John XXII, Edna and Weimar twice.

Their two losses came to Victoria West and Burton. This week the Lady Horns host their home tourney.

La Grange

The La Grange volleyball team went 2-6 at the Columbus Tournament last week, falling to Round Top-Carmine in the championship of the Copper Bracket Saturday.

The Lady Leps beat Brazos twice at the tourney, but lost to Columbus, Burton, Cypress Christian, Lexington and RT-C twice.

The La Grange girls (2-7 overall) will host Lockhart Tuesday. The varsity match will begin about 6 p.m.

Flatonia

The Flatonia volleyball team went 2-4 at the Wimberley Tournament last week.

The Lady Bulldogs beat McMullen County and Liberty but lost to Godley, Chaparral, Canton and Johnson City.

Summer Sodek led the Lady Bulldogs in assists every match. Sodek, Katelin Sullivan and Allie Uzzell also were among the team leaders in kills in most of the matches.

Flatonia has a 4-4 overall record and now will host St. Paul Tuesday.
